Bophut, Chaweng and Lamai are good for the high end 5 star hotels. They are the busiest parts of the Island and offer many bars and clubs for unwinding in the evening. Chaweng is a lot busier, whilst Lamai is better for smaller bars and pubs. However, be wary of the beach areas late at night, as this is when they become hotspots for crime.

Koh Samui is home to culinary excellence, displaying some of the nicest international and seafood restaurants. These should be explored whilst on business travel and the most popular, with the best reputations can be found in the area of Bophut. Budsaba is also a fantastic place to eat for more upmarket and stylish restaurants.
