The main point of entry for business travellers flying to Buenos Aires is Ezeiza International Airport – this is located around 20 miles south of Buenos Aries. Buenos Aries is the gateway for Argentina and is accessible from Europe, North America, South America and Australasia providing business travellers with easy connections to and from a range of destinations.
Buenos Aires has a range of attractions for business travellers to see, do and experience whilst staying in the city. The Cementerio de la Recoleta is where many of the rich families in Buenos Aries are situated; the cemetery is decorated with ornate tombs and is the resting place of Eva Peron. There is also the San Telmo which offers a weekly market and tango performances on the weekend, as well as the Casa Rosado – the ‘Pink House’ which is the President of Argentina’s office and the Luna Park which hosts concerts and sporting events.
There are plenty of cars to rent for business travellers visiting Buenos Aires, however, it is only suggested that those who know the city well – or are feeling slightly adventurous should choose this as a method of travel. Buenos Aires is a city designed for walking; the terrain is flat so walking around the city is never a challenge and often means getting to places much quicker than using a method of transport. However, taxis are available, but they are definitely not the fastest method of travelling in particularly congested areas of the city. Outside of rush hours, the traffic eases and taxis become a convenient way of getting around.
There are a number of hotels located in the heart of the city that are perfect for business travellers to stay in whilst visiting Buenos Aires. The Four Seasons for example is located within walking distance of many of the city’s cultural and business attractions, in the district of La Recoleta – an exclusive area of the city. The Park Hyatt on the other hand provides travellers with a stylish stay and is also located within the district of Recoleta and located close to the Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires. Finally, there is the Emperador Hotel which is situated on the Avenida del Libertador and is close to many of the city’s museums and art galleries.
