There are a number of popular airlines that provide business class flights from the UK to Toronto. Airlines who offer flights from all major UK airports include Swiss Airlines, British Airways, Austrian Airlines, Air Canada and Delta Airlines. Each airline provides passengers with a business class cabin and amenities to enjoy whilst travelling from the UK to Canada.
The most popular point of entry for flights into Toronto is Toronto Pearson International Airport. It is located around 30 minutes travel from the downtown area of the city and most major carriers that operate international flights from the UK to Toronto will land there. Toronto Pearson Airport offers passengers free Wi-Fi access, perfect for business travellers on the go who need to connect as soon as they touch down. Most of the major airports in the UK operate business class flights to Toronto Pearson International; airports that airlines offering business class fares depart from include London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.
Business travellers who are planning to visit Toronto will have plenty of attractions to visit if they have some spare time during their trip. The Ontario Science Centre is a popular place for tourists and visitors to the city; a number of science exhibits are on show, as well as a movie theatre – the Omnimax which is a full wrap-around cinema. There is also the Art Gallery of Ontario which is Canada’s largest art gallery and recently underwent a redesign. Toronto is also home to a financial district just south of Queen Street which is the equivalent to Wall Street in America; though there is not much there, it does allow visitors to see the skyscrapers that the city has.
Toronto is a big city and may be difficult for some business travellers to navigate. It is possible to get around the entirety of the city without renting a car, particularly in the downtown area. Toronto has retained their streetcar rail system; they also have rail services that operate between cities and the subway rail system – all are efficient and clean methods of travelling around the city. Some business travellers, however, may wish to rent cars or to take taxis to navigate around the city – although taxis are plentiful they may not be the quickest method of transport. The other problem with rental cars is finding somewhere to park; parking spots are often hard to locate and expensive when they are found. Taxis and rental cars are recommended when business travellers are expecting to travel long distances around the city, but not for shorter journeys.
Forest Hill and Bridle Path are some of the more affluent areas of the city and therefore considered safer – however, these are residential areas rather than places that business travellers may choose to stay in. For this, there is the Ritz-Carlton, an award winning hotel that welcomes guests to stay in the diverse city. Located close to popular attractions and landmarks, the Ritz-Carlton is a convenient hotel for business travellers. Residence Inn located in the Downtown entertainment District of Toronto is a prime place for business travellers to stay during their visit; the hotel is conveniently situated near to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the CN Tower and home of the Toronto International Film Festival.
